Yog Shri Peeth Ashram is situated on a small hill on the bank of holy river ganges in Rishikesh. This was founded by Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj in 1965 in the service of his Guru Swami Vishnu Tirth Maharaj. Currently Swami Govindanand Tirth Maharaj, desciple of Swami Shivom Tirth Maharaj, stays in the Yog Shri Peeth Ashram.
Location You Shri Peeth Ashram is situated near Ram Jhula on the Rishikesh-Uttarkashi road at Minu Ki Reti. The main gate of the ashram is on the left hand side of the rode just opposite the telephone exchange. The gate leads to a path of the stares which goes upside to the hill and enters the ashram.
The environment of the ashram is very peaceful. It has a very beautiful garden which faces towards holy river Ganges. You can enjoy the divine pleasure of watching sunrise and its shadows in the holy river Ganges from the garden.
In the center of the ashram is Guru-Grah (the residence of the Guru) of Swami Govindanand Tirth Maharaj. Near Guru-Grah is the Sadhan Kaksha (meditation room). Swami Vishnu Tirth Maharaj and Swami Vishnu Tirth Maharaj used to do meditation (sadhan) in this room.
