Yoav Gelber (Hebrew: יואב גלבר) (born 1943) is a professor at the University of Haifa, and a visiting professor at the University of Texas. He was born in Mandatory Palestine in 1943. Gelber studied world and Jewish history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Yoav Gelber is an expert on the history of the Israel Defense Forces and a vocal opponent of his colleague Ilan Pappe, whom he has compared to the British fascist and Nazi propagandist William Joyce.^[1]
