Yesterday Girl is a 1966 German film by director Alexander Kluge. Its original German title is Abschied von gestern , which means "parting from yesterday". It tells the story of Anita G. (played by Kluge's sister Alexandra), a young East German migrant to West Germany and her struggle to adjust to her new life. The film won a Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.
