I moved here the following excerpt from the article, which, I believe, should be included into the future article "1981 Gymnastics World Championships":
The USA had a good competition at the 81 Worlds. They were the highhest scoring team on beam optionals. Julianne McNamara finished 7th AA - the highest place all-around finish for an American woman until Brandy Johnson also finished 7th AA at 89 Worlds. The US won 2 medals in event finals, one of their best results in that era and their best result at a World Championships in the 1980's.McNamara finished 5th on beam but would have won silver had she not gone overtime on her exercise. The Chinese women's team won team silver and 2 medals in event finals. It would be their best result in a World Championship or Olympics until 1995. Romania had a poor competition.Their main coaches,Bela and Marta Karolyi and their choreographer Geza Pozsar, had defected to the US in April.Romania did reasonably well at the European championships and following that all their training was geared towards the World University Games which were being held in Romania.According to an official of the Romanian gymnastics federation their girls could not peak for a third time that year. [edit] Which is better - image separated from or image in the template?
When the image is separated from the template, the article doesn't look good on my display (15 inch) for resolutions, lower, than 1024x768; while if the image is in the template, it looks good in all resolutions, including 640x480.
I know, 1024x768 is the most popular, but it doesn't seem good IMHO even for that resolution. Can somebody support me or object to my opinion? Cmapm 22:59, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
