Yechiel Leiter

Yechiel Leiter is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs. He served as Deputy Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Education and was Chief of Staff to Benjamin Netanyahu at Israel's Ministry of Finance. He earlier served as a political assistant to Ariel Sharon in the Israeli Knesset and is a former spokesman for the Yesha Council of Jewish Communities in the West Bank and Gaza. He has written three books and dozens of articles on Zionism and Israeli politics, and has lectured extensively. He holds a degree in law, an MA in international relations, and is currently writing his doctoral thesis at Haifa University.
