Talk:Year 2070 problem

[edit] Birth Date is bad example
Currently the article reads "For example, a person might enter 34 as a shortcut to the birth year 1934. The software might interpret the number 34 as year 2034."
This is a really bad example because all 2 digit year results in centurains being reported as being 100 years younger than they are. Jon 21:38, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Interpreting age 100 and older would fail with 2 digit encoding, indeed. The article only mentions a case of misinterpreting birth years outside the 2 digit span.ilgiz 02:38, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
