Yazeed

The Yazeed are an ethnic group in Sudan also calling themseves the Dar Hamid. They speak Sudanese Arabic. The population of this group is approximately 320,000[1]. The primary religion of the Yazeed is Islam. They are pastoral nomads living in semi-arid North Kurdufan[1]. Yazeed is also a popular arabic name among males. Yazeed is the Arabic literal translation for Joseph and it means 'He Increases'.
