Yawata (八幡市 Yawata-shi?) is a city located in Kyoto, Japan.
As of 2008, the city has an estimated population of 73,651 and the density of 3,047.70 persons per km². The total area is 24.38 km².
The city was founded on November 1, 1977.
The Iwashimizu Hachimangu is located in Yawata.
