Yattendon Investment Trust

Yattendon Investment Trust plc is a private British company owned by the Iliffe family. It has interests in the UK and Canada, and interests in newspaper publishing, television, electronic media, marinas and property.

Iliffe News and Media is a major part of YIT. It comprises:

  • Cambridge Newspapers, owning the Cambridge Evening News
  • Herts and Essex Newspapers [1], owning the Hertfordshire Mercury, Our Time
  • LSN Media (purchased 2005) [2], owning Bedfordshire on Sunday, Dunstable on Sunday, Leighton Buzzard on Sunday, Luton on Sunday, MK News
  • Staffordshire Newspapers [3], owning the Burton Mail, Staffordshire Newsletter, Ashbourne News Telegraph, Uttoxeter Advertiser , Black Country Bugle, Your Leek Paper, Heartland Evening News, Staffordshire Life
  • Channel Television, the ITV television station for the Channel Islands.

The group also owns Marina Developments Limited [4], a marina operator based in Southampton, and the Vancouver-based Westminster Management Corporation, a commercial property organisation.

Yattendon Estates, formed by the amalgamation of the Iliffe family properties at Yattendon in 1955, became part of YIT in 2003.
