Yang Liu

Yang Liu (born in Tsingtao, China) is a Chinese classical violinist. He studied under Yao-Ji Lin at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He also studied with Dorothy DeLay and Kurt Sassmannshaus at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He was a medalist at the 2002 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He currently teaches at Roosevelt University and performs regularly at the Aspen Music Festival. The "Lady Tennant" Stradivarius violin has been permanently loaned to him.
