From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Meteor hydrofoil on the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang). While most ships on the river had to wait for passage clearance through the narrows of the Three Gorges, the Meteors and fast planing boats, able to run in the shallows, zipped past the ordinary riverboats. Boat-like object in background is a navigation bouy.
