Xue is the pinyin (romanization) of the Chinese surname 薛 (Xuē); also known as Hsueh in Romanic (Wade-Giles) in oversea Chinese. The family name is carried by the descendant of Lord Mengchang of feudal state of Xue (薛) in Zhou Dynasty.
