[edit] Merge from Tarkin

It does not seem appropriate to have a standalone page for Tarkin when it is an apparently non-influential codec that is on hold or discontinued. It may be better to merge it into this page as a defunct project of historical interest. Saligron 07:17, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
