[edit] History
Xingtai is an ancient city in the northern China with a history of 3500 years. It was first built by King Zuyi (祖乙) of Shang Dynasty as its capital.
In the late 1990s Xingtai became the focus of attention for a local blood bank's use of blood contaminated with HIV, causing many residents to develop AIDS.[1]
