Damis a large dam on the Lancang River in Yunnan Province Southwest of China.
It has 7 generators, each with generating capacity of 700 MW. The total generating capacity of the project is 4,200 MW.
It has the highest dam, 292m in the world. Construction started on January 1 2002 and is going to complete on December 2012.
