[edit] History
[edit] Birth of Ellipsis
Ellipsis started as a side-project in 2003 from current Wasting A Remembrance vocalist, Ron Foreman. Foreman had tried to start Ellipsis for the longest time, trying to recruit local musicians into his band, but with no avail, and instead, played a couple of shows with another band as a fill-in vocalist for Class Clown. Foreman was the last vocalist with Class Clown before their dispersal in 2004.
[edit] The Shape Of Junk To Come Era
Ellipsis revived in 2005 with a couple of demo songs such as "The Hero" and the cover of "Peanut Butter Jelly Time." Ellipsis later placed both songs in the first full-length album The Shape Of Junk To Come, a play off of Refused's The Shape Of Punk To Come.
Ellipsis had played in small parties, although never playing anything from the first album, everything was improvised and most known for his songs "The Mexican Incest Song" and "I Hate Steve."
In late 2006, Ellipsis was speaking of a second album, and the birth of Baskets For Sale appeared. However, unhappy with the songs for this album, Foreman cut out most of the songs and made Baskets For Sale a six-song EP. During this time, Foreman was very frustrated with how the sound had "de-vovled" and put Ellipsis on the backburner to work on his filming career.
[edit] The Ellipsis Team era
There was a group of friends Foreman had involved himself with, and made a couple of tapes, under the Ellipsis name, called The Ellipsis Team. They were short clips of random events that happened around him, and several scripted skits. Both movies can be found on Ron Foreman's MySpace. This ended in early 2007 with accusations and plausible words from Foreman and his former team, accusing him of backstabbing and being "a shitty friend." This had inspired him to create a new album and went back into the studio.
[edit] Blueprints To A Heart Era
April 2007, Ellipsis was back in the studio, with a new range of instruments and a new sense of composing. Foreman wrote most of the lyrics based off of the time he had with The Ellipsis Team, while the rest of the album was either about his past relationships or his time that he lived in Brenham, Texas. The album was released August 2, 2007, and is given freely to anyone who asks for the album. The album was released on the internet on August 5, 2007.
[edit] 3rd Album
Ron Foreman has been playing around with his third album, and has decided to ditch the effort of a three-disc spanning concept album. He is under the writing process currently, with a wide array of lyrics, and many untitled tracks stored on his studio laptop. He has released the song "Return of Ron Fo," in tribute to his love of rap music.
On MySpace, he has also posted a wide range of songs he has wrote. He then states that about 20 of them will make it onto the next album. The third album is said to be a combination of the comedic side of The Shape Of Junk To Come, with the musical ranting nature of Baskets For Sale EP, and the seriousness and professionalism of Blueprints To A Heart.
His next song to be released will be "Number Nine Is More Than Just A Number," which is about a current experience with madness and his problem with people.

[edit] Trivia
- Ellipsis's song "Bracelet" is vocally set to The Mars Volta's "Televators."
- Ellipsis's song "Triangles (Mexican Standoff)" is a reference to the Mexican Standoff set in movies, where three/four people are held at gunpoint against one another. The song was formerly called "The Last Dance," and was a tribute to the last dance he had with his ex-girlfriend at Bellville Prom 2007, and how the moment was later poisoned.
- The song "Boxcar Cadavers" derives from the lyrics in The Mars Volta's "Roulette Dares (The Haunt Of)."
- The song "Cranial Abuse And Abrasions" was inspired by mewithoutYou's "Gentlemen."
- Ron Foreman wants to make Ellipsis a respectable 4/5 piece band.
- "The Chalk Outline" is inspired by The Mars Volta's "Televators."
