Xenomorph (Band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Xenomorph is a Dutch Death Metal band formed in the nineties in a town called Leiden right in between the cities of Rotterdam and Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
They apparantly got their name from the scientific word for bizarre extraterrestrial murderous creatures: Xenomorph. These creatures were made by the Swiss artist H.R. Giger and used by the English filmmaker Sir Ridley Scott in his Alien feature.
The band Xenomorph made a pretty succesfull debutalbum Baneful Stealth Desire which was released by System Shock Records from Germany in 2001. In 2002 followed by a tour through Europe with Master (band) and Krabathor.
In 2005 a Dutch label called Under Her Black Wings released Xenomorph's second album Necrophilia Mon Amour which suffered from censorship issues being extroardinary explicit obscene and brutal. In 2006 the band went on tour through Europe again, this time with Macabre (band), Jungle Rot and Impaled Nazarene.
