I'm looking for information on this portrait that anyone can provide. I have a framed reprint of the original that has been in my family for over 100 years. I know that the original painting was presented to the 7th Regiment Cavalry on 30 March 1896 by Adolphus Busch. It was enetred into the Library of Congress as a historic work of art.
