Wyzo Ltd is an internet startup company that is based in Jersey, UK. [1] It is known for developing the FireTorrent extension and Wyzo web browser.
[edit] Wyzo Products
FireTorrent is an extension for the BitTorrent Protocol that runs on Mozilla Firefox and the Wyzo web browser. It places torrent downloads in the same Window as normal downloads, and bears similarity to the official BitTorrent client. It is recognized as being easier to use for the inexperienced torrent user than Standalone BitTorrent clients, but offers fewer options. [2][3] It is built upon P2P Innovate technology.[4]
The Wyzo web browser is based on Mozilla Firefox. The authors claim it is intended to download and manage all types of media, and they are naming it a Media Browser instead of a Web Browser. It is currently in Alpha development stage and supports Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, although Linux support is planned. Some of the modifications are:
- A new skin, with an orange colour scheme.
- A new homepage, which includes 33 search engines.
- Native integration with FireTorrent.[5]
