Wythenshawe General Hospital (formerly Baguley Sanitourium) is a hospital in south Manchester, England.[2]. It specialises in cardiological therapy & treatment, and anaesthesia treatment.[3] It was the first hospital in the NHS to go from 0 ratings to 3 stars, after the introduction of a new system rating hospitals.[2]
It was one of only a few hospitals that treated Manchester's tuberculosis which had a high death rate, accounting for 12% of all Manchester deaths in the late 1800s.[4]
