The logo of the 20th World Youth Day in Cologne,  Germany consists of four parts:

1. the Cross symbolizing the presence of Jesus Christ
2. a yellow star – the Star of Bethlehem which showed the Three Wise Men, the road they need yo travel to reach Jesus – symolizing divine guidance
3. towers of the Cologne Cathedral
4. lower blue arc representing the river Rhine
5. a blue stylized letter "C", which stands for Christ.
