NBC didn't purchase channel 30 as a part of an "experiment". NBC purchased channel 30 because the FCC rules at the time had separate ownership limits for UHF and VHF stations, and NBC was already at the cap for VHF stations. 121a0012 02:30, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
