[edit] Why didn't this affiliate with My Network TV?

With CBS' other independents joining My Network TV, and the Boston market lacking an affiliate, it only seems natural that this station would also affiliate. Any guesses why not?

What CBS indies are joining MNTV? I can't think of any offhand. I know for sure KCAL isn't - EmiOfBrie 01:50, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

He or she is probably referring to the CBS stations that are disaffiliating from UPN (or the WB in the case of WTCN) in light of the closure of the two networks and launch of the CW. Honestly, I don't know why WSBK is the lone holdout. —SterlingNorth 11:34, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

My best guess is that CBS Corp. felt the station was more profitable as an indy. Keep in mind, WSBK is a designated 'superstation,' allowing it to be carried by satellite and cable systems across the country (and Canada). Perhaps they wish to exploit that as a new source of revenue.--Bostonmediaguy 20:53, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

WZMY will affiliate with MyNetworkTV

[edit] Possible CW affiliation?

At current, this article states that WSBK may affiliate with the CW for the 2007-2008 season. It seems that would be highly unlikely, unless the contract was written to allow the affiliation to change if a sale occurs. Remember that in the press release, the CBS Corporation and Tribune Company stations affilliating with the CW signed 10 year affilliation deals. D2001dstanley 01:49, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

I hope they change to the CW and leave WLVI with no affiliation, I hate channel 56 now that WHDH took over, the news at 10 is awful
