[edit] Template structure
The current template design is a bit old-fashioned. When a new task force is added, user have to re-adjust the background colors of the column. Also, the list is growing quite lengthy. Can we modify the template to the show/hide style? AQu01rius (User • Talk) 00:24, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- The color update bit is slightly annoying, to be sure; but this template isn't changed all that often, so I don't think it's a big deal.
- As far as using show/hide blocks, I think that's a really bad idea. One of the main benefits of this template is that it provides a significant amount of intra-project advertising by virtue of its presence on high-traffic pages. If show/hide blocks were used, this benefit would largely disappear; this would be particularly bad for task forces, for which this template is one of the most effective advertising methods. [edit] Another WikiProject borrowing the template
Greetings! I've been working on getting WP:ORG started all evening, and unless another contributing member finds a better one, I'd like to use your guys' navigational template. Quick question: How do you edit the message at the top header of the page? I think right now it mentions the election process for project coordinator positions. Any help you guys can offer would be fantastic. Thanks in advance! Oldsoul 04:48, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's generated by the block at the top:
{{#ifeq:{{ARTICLESPACE}}|Wikipedia|
{{Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Coordinators/Toolbox/Banner}}
}}
- You'll probably want to remove that part of the code. Kirill Lokshin 04:59, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, I'll make the adjustments.Oldsoul 05:13, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
