[edit] World Championship Fighting 2 Event
Fans in attendance of the sold out World Championship Fighting 2 event were treated to a night of action packed fights and a star studded lineup of special guests. The night started with an exclusive meet and greet autograph session with some of the biggest names in the sport including UFC Fighters: Marcus "the Irish Hand Grenade" Davis , Kenny "KenFlo" Florian, Jorge "El Conquistador" Rivera, Alex "The Assassin" Karalexis; Sean "The Gladiator" Gannon; Murilo "Ninja" Rua and the Tapout Crew. Once the autograph session ended fans filed into the 3700 seat Shriners Auditorium for a night of Mixed Martial Arts action.
In the night's main event local favorite and UFC veteran Dan "The Upgrade" Lauzon took on undefeated fighter Frank Latina. Lauzon was stunned early in the fight with a straight right hand from Latina. Lauzon and Latina traded ferocious punches on the feet before the fight went to the ground. From there Lauzon began to work multiple submissions which Latina was able to escape until finally succumbing to a fight ending triangle choke. For Lauzon this marked his fourth win in a row as well as being filmed for an upcoming episode of "Tapout." Fans were also treated to a special guest appearance by UFC President Dana White. With this show World Championship Fighting is now the biggest Mixed Martial Arts show in New England. World Championship Fighting would like to thank all of our fighters and fans for making this event such a huge success.
