| Editing Guidelines |
|
Please remember these guidelines when editing a film article:
- If a non-film article already exists with the name of the film that you are trying to create an article for, disambiguate and use (film) in the title: Film Title (film)
- When writing an article about a particular film, the general format should be a concise lead section, followed by a plot summary of no more than 900 words, production details, a cast list, a reception section, and references.
- Create an Infobox that tells all pertinent information about the film.

[edit] Why Asia?
Why is 'Middle Eastern cinema' under 'Asian cinema'? These two are totally seperate. Madder 02:17, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Because the majority of the Middle East is in the continent of Asia. The article was originally called Southwest Asian cinema to fit in with the other regional / continental cinema articles (see the Southwest Asia article). However, it was decided that this should be changed to the more common term "Middle Eastern" so the article was moved.
- If the Middle East is not classed as Asia, what is it classed as? I.e. which continent do we put it under? As long as any Cinema of Egypt article is included under African cinema, I would expect the cinema output of other countries in the Middle East to be included under Asian cinema.
