Talk:World Federation of Great Towers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It would be great if the heights were also tabulated here.
Also would be nice to have the years of completion presented. I'll start but have not enough time to compile the rest.
The John Hancock Center's height is misleading. The height to the top of the antenna is 1455 feet, but the building is much shorter than the Empire State Building and other towers on this list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.186.134.125 (talk) 23:40, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
This article was a total mess as I just cleaned it up. This article is NOT a list of the tallest freestanding structures in the world. This article is about who is a member of the WFGT. The Burj Dubai is not a member of the Federation. And many of the buildings previously on this list were not part of the list. Oddly enough, the tallest building on the WFGT member registry, the CN Tower, was *not* listed, while non-members were listed. Before you modify this list, PLEASE reference the official WFGT site.
If you add a tower to this list, please provide a URL that is proof that they are a *member* of the WFGT... and not just a tall building. Please add tall buildings to List of tallest buildings in the world. --Hampton (talk) 16:38, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
