Hi Rarelibra,

please upload this map to commons and it would be nice if you could add a form of explanation of the colours. Electionworld Talk? 21:35, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hello, more detail

You really want a version of the map that is twice as big in each dimension... around 500k. +sj + 02:08, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Ah, yes... but I can't take that risk after so much hard work I have put into it. I am attempting to solicit some help from others - for coverage areas I don't have, exchanges for coverages I do have, help for others that don't have. We'll see. Rarelibra 03:49, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] LARGER MAP!

We should be able to zoom into every division. Some are just black blobs.

[edit] Problems with the section of the Map that handles Russia

The problem with the map is that (by the use of colour) it presents Federal Districts of Russia as the first level of administration, with the constutuent Krais, Oblasts and Republics as the second level of administration. But this does not match other articles - Table of administrative country subdivisions by country has Krais, Oblasts and Republics as the first level. In addition, the Federal Districts of Russia says this:

The federal districts are a level of administration for the convenience of the federal government[1]. They are not constituent units of the Russian Federation. The constituent units of the Russian Federation are called federal subjects.

Similarly with Greenland - isn't it a first level administration under Denmark?

[1] And for the convenience of Vladimir Putin, I suspect. The bloody things have been around only for eight years. --Tphcm (talk) 06:38, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Divisions in the UK

The United Kingdom is not just split into England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, which were the only four o the map in blue there are nine others that also fall inyo that catagory: East Midlands East of England London North East North West South East South West West Midlands Yorkshire and the Humber. --Lemonade100 (talk) 19:28, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
