The Wonthaggi railway line is a closed railway line located in South Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It was developed as a branch line of the former Great Southern Railway (South Gippsland line), which it joined just east of Nyora railway station. It opened in 1910.

Its main purpose was to serve the coal mining areas around Wonthaggi, with the line extended a short distance beyond to the mining area. With the general decline in Victorian branch lines the line closed in 1978. Passenger services from Nyora to Wonthagi were withdrawn on December 4, 1977 with the last train being a 153hp Walker railmotor.[1] The track was dismantled and the southern section from Anderson to Wonthaggi has been developed as the Bass Coast Rail Trail.
