Talk:Wong Kei

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I know that some people reading what has been written so far will think it's POV, but Wong Kei's really is infamous for it's arrogant waiters and impolite service. It's also one of the only restaurants that most people familiar with Chinatown will know the name of. Apparently (as can be seen from the review I linked) it's been well-established for a long time. I'll have to investigate the history further. 15:26, 2004 Dec 21 (UTC)

  • I'll confirm that its service is well-known for being rude. Kappa 16:02, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Got to admit, between Prince Charles Cinema and this entry I've figured out something I'll be doing at Christmas :) sheridan 20:27, 2004 Dec 21 (UTC)

I think that around 1980 or so, this restaurant used to occupy the second floor of a property in the nearby blueposts lane before moving to the current site.

Can anyone confirm this?

Additional unconfirmed information.

Owners are based in Hong Kong (from discussions with waiters)

[edit] Neutrality

This article reads like a restaurant review in places, and is not as neutral as required by Wikipedia.

I have removed the review-like POV comments, though I think it's important to stress that the service is rude, bearing in mind that this is the thing Wong Kei is most famous for. Citations would be very helpful for statements like this, though. -- TinaSparkle 14:41, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
