Wolds (HM Prison)

HMP Wolds is a prison located south west of Everthorpe, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It opened in April 1992 as a remand prison and in 1993 was re-roled to a local category B prison holding sentenced prisoners. It was the first private prison to be opened in the United Kingdom.

Wolds Prison is now for Mid term Category C prisoners (including second stage lifers).

Operational capacity: 350 as of 31 October 2005.

Accommodation: Six units of single and double cells (some single cells have been doubled up accommodate extra prisoners).
