[edit] Summary

The spelling of wolfberry in the Tibetan language (note: this is the name of the berry, not the plant itself). The word is pronounced "dre-tsher-mai-dre-bu," with the "r" in both "dre" syllables not a full-blown "r," but more of a subtle rolling sound added to the "d." Dre means "ghost" or "demon," tsher-ma means "thorn," and "dre-bu" means "fruit." Spelling courtesy of Trausti, of The Tibetan Language Student website: http://www.learntibetan.net/
