Oy Woikoski Ab is Finland's oldest industrial/medicinal gas supplier[1]. The company started 1882 as a carbon black factory which then evolved into the company's current form[2]. Woikoski is also an importer of welding and gas equipment which they distribute along with their gas products through their network of resellers. Woikoski currently operates 13 plants and offices, and has over 200 agents throughout Finland[3]. Their annual turnover is approx. 25 million EUR.
Woikoski is also an large exporter of liquid and gaseous helium, with their new automated helium plant which also has capabilities for recycling gaseous helium[4]. In 2006 Woikoski also finished a carbon dioxide treatment plant which has capabilities of recovering and recycling 1-3 tonnes of carbon dioxide per hour[5].
