Wofford

"Wofford" is a family name, believed to have hailed from Walford in Dorset, Herefordshire dating back to the 11th century A.D., this Anglo-Saxon family has deep roots in our history. It is believed that Woffords settled in Massachusetts at Charles Town in 1630.[1]
In 1850, Rev. Benjamin Wofford died, leaving behind a trust that would establish Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina (USA).[2]
Harris Wofford was a Senator (D) from Pennsylvania during 1991-1995; born in New York City, April 9, 1926.[3]
Jenifer K Wofford is a Filipina-American artist and arts educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. [4]
