Energy 87.9 is WNRG-FM which broadcasts from the southern metropolitan area of Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN. The station has a dance music based format. However the station has been known to break away from the traditional dance format playlist and include other types of music such as, smooth jazz, urban contemporary, and industrial rock.
