WMSN-TV is a Fox station in Madison, Wisconsin. It is a typical Fox station, running primarily first run and off-network syndicated shows along with Fox programming, and a 9:00 p.m. newscast. The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcasting Group. Its transmitter is located in Madison.

WMSN began as an independent station before becoming affiliated with Fox; WKOW Television, Inc. manages and directs Fox 47 News at Nine.

WMSN is located on Big Sky Drive, the site of the former Big Sky Drive-In Theater. For several years, WMSN broadcast "Big Sky Theater" on Saturday nights, featuring classic movies, mostly westerns, from the drive-in era.

Sinclair and Fox recently finalized a six-year affiliation contract extension for Sinclair's 19 Fox affiliates, including WMSN. WMSN's affiliation contract now expires in March 2012. [1]

WMSN is a station that still signs off at night, doing so at 2:05 am Monday morning and returning to the air at 5:00 am.
