WKTC-FM is a radio station in the Curtis Media Group of stations.

The station first went on air around 1975 featuring a country music format broadcasting at 104.3 from Tarboro, North Carolina under the moniker "Katie Country". Curtis Media acquired the station in 1989 and moved it to the old WEQR frequency at 96.9. The station was very popular along the I-95 corridor from Rocky Mount to Fayetteville. In 1998, Curtis Media moved WKTC again, this time to Rocky Mount with Pinetops as the city of license at 95.5 FM.Template:NothCarolina-radio-station-stub
