"With Every Beat of My Heart" is a song by Taylor Dayne, the lead single from her second album Can't Fight Fate. Along with a new more soulful sound came a complete make over. Dayne traded her big 80's hair for a soft blond look.
The single became Dayne's fifth consecutive top 10 single in the United States, peaking at number five. This was her first single to ever include a non-album track for a B-side ("All I Ever Wanted" written by A. Forbes/P.Lallemend/T. Derkach, 1989).
