[edit] Wake-Up
Used to be about NEWS.Now i tune to 12 or 58 for REAL News.

- I disagree with the above comment. Seems like Channel 6 has the "real news" that the other stations have, but just has a lot more local content to fill.
[edit] Call sign letters
While the call letters appear to stand for Wisconsin Independent Television, Inc, that acronym was not the reason for the assignment of WITI. Nearly every broadcast channel east of the Mississippi were automatically assigned call signs that start with W. The founders of the station who applied for the FCC license were "Independent Television, Inc" [1], and when approved, they were assigned WITI. It is a nice coincidence that the W can also stand in for Wisconsin. Perhaps the article should mention this, rather than leaving the impression that they picked WITI because the station is in Wisconsin. Not a dog 23:37, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
You are correct re: the meaning of their call letters. Ted Perry mistakenly added the "Wisconsin" in their 50th anniversary segment, and at least one other website also uses that erroneous meaning. Nitelinger 01:16, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The New "FOX 6 MILWAUKEE" Logo
I Wish the Old FOX 6 Logo deserves to be changed into one of the "FOX News Edge Mandate" with the 2 edgier logos of "FOX 6 MILWAUKEE" (General) & "FOX 6 NEWS" (Newscasts) this season. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.236.99.249 (talk) 01:23, 26 January 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:WITI-TV6-large.jpg
Image:WITI-TV6-large.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] New FOX6 Logo
On September 29th, 2007, FOX 6 changed their logo colors to matck the FOX O&O colors. Also, all of their on air graphics were changed too. Does anyone have a new image of the logo (the FOX is White w/ red background, the Six is white with blue background. That would be a good addition to this page WisconsinCheeze 14:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC)
