Wis.dm (read "wisdom") is a social networking website based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Launched in 2007, Wis.dm allows users to interact by way of questions or "bits". Members can answer and discuss user-submitted bits or ask their own in unique scenes which allow users to interact with people who share in their mood and tastes. As of April, 2008, the website has over 58,000 registered users.

- Bits - Users may ask any question they desire. Bits are limited to 130 characters, but can be explained in greater detail in a "details" section.
- Scenes - Scenes are social venues that cater to different moods, motives and topics. Visit a café to discuss the latest happenings from home or work, enter a studio to talk music and art, or hit a nightclub to get your flirt on.
- Topics - Bits can be "tagged" with relevant topics/categories. This feature allows users to browse bits within specific areas of interest.
- Actions - Actions are exclusive activities that let you explore people and friendships further one-to-one. Intrigued by someone in particular? Take action by sending a gift or asking for a personal chat. After all, actions speak louder than words.
- Popularity - Each bit has a hidden value of "popularity" determined by how many answers/comments it receives. Popular bits will be displayed sooner within their respective categories.
- Friends/Fans - Users may designate other users as "friends", and will be notified whenever they ask a new question. By designating another user as a "friend", you become their "fan."
- Bits for Me - Bits may be shared with other users and will appear in their "Bits for Me" page.
- Flags - Users may flag bits as "Wise" or "Unwise", influencing its popularity. Inappropriate bits can also be reported to Wis.dm administrators.
- Points - Calculated by a secret algorithm, points are accumulated through general site activity (Asking/answering/discussing bits, etc.).
- Personal Profile - Each user is allowed a personal profile including an avatar. A member's bits and responses are accessible through their profile.
- Bookmark - Users may bookmark particular bits of interest for future access.

The "wis.dm" domain name is an example of a domain hack, an unconventional combination of letters to form a word or phrase. Wis.dm, is not the first domain of this nature; others sites such as del.icio.us made this technique popular.
