I have searched and finally found it!
This is what I posted in the article in case someone changes it:
- The music from Metroid in NSF file format (inside a ZIP file). You will need a NSF player of some sort to listen. More info
I included a direct link to the .ZIP file where the .NSF file is located along with music from other games. I also included a link to the HTML file explaining what the files are and some related information.
The METROID.NSF file has eleven tracks. The only way that I know of to advance tracks (in winamp with NEZplug) is to either just let it play or advance the slider to the end of the current track. (The 'slider' has an official name, but I can't remember what it is.)
I can't believe I finally found that music! I have been looking for that FOREVER!!! Track 7 is my favorite!
