Mahn Win Maung (April 17, 1916 - July 4, 1989) was the last President of an elected government of Burma now Myanmar. He was appointed President by Prime Minister U Nu in March 1957 until imprisoned for five years after the military coup in 1962 headed by General Ne Win that ousted U Nu.

Mahn Win Maung was a Karen born on April 17, 1916 at Lae Sait village, Kyun Pyaw Township, Pathein District, Ayeyarwady Division. He was the son of U Shwe Yin and Daw Thar Yar. In 1937 he graduated B.A. from Judson College in Rangoon. Between 1947 and 1956 he was variously Minister of Ministry of Mining and Labour, Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunication and Minister of the Ministry of Water, Air and Costal Ship. He was imprisoned between 1962 to 1967.
