Hello Windfinder and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Hi, just a note. I rewrote the page on media conglomerates to be more in line with the Wikipedia:Manual of style, along with Wikipedia:NPOV. You might want to check it out. Best wishes and keep contributing, [[User:Meelar|Meelar (talk)]] 17:03, 2004 Jul 27 (UTC)
[edit] formatting
Hello, may I suggest not using a pair of ==='s to start a page, please ? The table of contents gets messed up. Thanks. -- PFHLai 15:27, 2004 Jul 28 (UTC)
[edit] Mentoring?
No, there's no formal system where people watch other users. I saw that your talk page hadn't been created yet because it was a red link on Special:Recent changes, so I decided to welcome you (it's something I'm active in, on the theory that it makes peoples' lives more pleasant). Then, later on recent changes, I saw that you had written media conglomerate, clicked on it, rewrote, and figured you might want a look at the result. Good luck, and keep contributing. P.S. You can use the tildes, as above, to sign on talk pages.
