The UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is one of the 11 colleges that are part of the University of Central Florida, located in Orlando, FL USA. It is within CECS that several of the University’s showcase majors and research are located, as well as being one of the largest Colleges at UCF. The Dean is Neal C. Gallagher.
The college is structured into three divisions, in which the individual department and schools are located. These three divisions are the Engineering and Computer Science Division, the Engineering Technology Division and the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Division. Combined these consitituent parts of the college offer over 100 degree programs offered at the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Postgraduate Levels.

[edit] Engineering and Computer Science Division
This division includes most of the students who are in an EECS program.
[edit] The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)
The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is primarily located on the main Orlando campus within the newly constructed Harris Corporation Engineering Center (commonly referred to as Engineering III), where classrooms, labs and offices for the School’s three primary areas: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science. It is the only school within CECS with all other divisions of the college are considered departments due to the number of students majoring in the school’s disciplines. As of 2007, Issa Batarseh is the director of the school.

At it’s disposal is a host of teaching and research labs, primarily located in the Engineering III Building, and some located in area it previously occupied in Engineering I, the original engineering building at UCF. For undergraduate students there are labs for electronics, digital circuits, RF transmission, various computer labs and labs for students to use during their senior design course. On the graduate and research side there are labs ranging from artificial intelligence to computational imaging and is even home to the Florida Power Electronics Center. The Reserve Officer Training Corps Division is home the university's ROTC programs, namely Army and Air Force. The two departments admit students from all other colleges within the university who wish to pursue a career in the United States Armed Forces as a commisioned officer, and as such does not confer degrees. It does however award a minor in completion of the program
