Willoughby is also the name of the lapdog belonging to actress and voice expert Margo Annett. Many well known actors have crossed paths with the mutt, and he has therefore developed something of an iconic status in the theatrical community. He is named after John Willoughby, a character in Jane Austen's novel Sense and Sensibility.
