Willis McGee was a Scottish Patriot who travelled to Malta to visit his wife's sick cousin. He was later falsely accused of theft. Due to the injusitce, McGee wanted to revolt against the current rulers over the island, the French. He started the Brotherhood of 36 and after their first failed overthrow, was imprisoned and later committed suicide by hanging himself in his prison cell.
