William Haughey OBE (born 1956 in Glasgow, Scotland)[2] is a Scottish businessman and chairman of City Refrigeration Holdings. He formerly served as a director for Celtic Footall Club,[3] and in 1997 signed a deal with ASDA to maintain equipment in ASDA stores throughout the United Kingdom.[4] City Refrigeration Holdings Headquarters are based in Gorbals, Glasgow. Last year Glasgow City Council approved a £120 million plan plan of Haughey's to redevelop the Gorbals and surrounding area. The ambitious plan involves the creation of a 60 bedroom hotel, 600 homes and office space at a site near to the Gorbals.[5]
