William Willoughby, 1st Baron Willoughby of Parham

William Willoughby, 1st Baron Willoughby of Parham (Born about 1515 – 30 July 1570) He was the son of Sir Christopher Willoughby of Parham and Elizabeth Talboys. He was married first about 1535 to Elizabeth Heneage, daughter of Sir Thomas Heneage of Hainton and Catherine Skipwith. He married secondly, after 20 August 1559 Margaret Garneys, widow of Walter Devereux, 1st Viscount Hereford, and the daughter of Robert Garneys and Anne Bacon. The title Baron Willoughby of Parham was created for him in 1547. He served for a time as lord deputy of Calais.[1]
