William Veeck, Sr.

William Veeck, Sr. was a partner of William Wrigley in the ownership and operation of the Chicago Cubs. William Sr. was president of Cubs from 1917 to his death in 1933. He is also the father of Bill Veeck, who is best known for his time at the reigns of the Chicago White Sox. Under William Sr.'s leadership, the Cubs won three pennants, in 1918, 1929, and 1932.

Veeck resided in the Chicago suburb of Hinsdale, Illinois.
