William Kingsford

William Kingsford (23 December 181929 September 1898) was an English-born Canadian historian. Born in London, Great Britain he served in the army, and went to Canada, where he was engaged in surveying work. He has a place in literature for his History of Canada in 10 volumes, a work of careful research, though not distinguished for purely literary merits. He died in Ottawa, Ontario.
